On our team, you will be a part of research studies with leading academic institutions. You will receive training from our mindfulness, nutrition and behavioral health counselors. Work closely with our orthopedic surgeon team to deepen your knowledge of musculoskeletal treatment.

And through it all, you will be on  a supportive team of individuals all working together in a fun culture to solve musculoskeletal pain for as many patients as possible. SpineZone is treating patients in person in southern California and online across the United States. Join us! 

The Role

At SpineZone the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physician plays a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care to individuals dealing with both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, all without relying on opioids. We are actively seeking individuals with outstanding clinical skills who are open to embracing innovation in integrated care. Our approach places a strong emphasis on evidence-based and timely utilization of imaging,medications, and surgery.

Through the Livara Platform, MSK Physicians are asked to evaluate patients who have persistent pain and impaired function.  They collaborate closely with Livera’s interdisciplinary team, including Health Coaches, Physical Therapists, Mindfulness Coaches, and Registered Dieticians to customize a treatment plan. Working as peers, they engage in weekly patient rounds to ensure optimal care and participate in roundtable discussions to address challenging cases. This collaborative environment promotes comprehensive and patient-centered healthcare.

 

As a MSK Physician at SpineZone you will:

  • Report to the Chief Medical Officer, Kamshad Raiszadeh,M.D. 
  • Virtually evaluate, diagnose and treat patients in 1:1 sessions 
  • Provide group educational sessions
  • Participate in weekly patient rounds 
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc. 
  • Meet company and quality standards as defined by SpineZone
  • Grow non-clinical skill sets by participating in internal work groups/task forces, contribute to the development of medical standard operating procedures and engage in relationship building with medical and network partners 
  • Focus on outstanding patient experience 
  • Define and continuously monitor business and product metrics to measure the results of your product initiatives, and communicate those results to stakeholders and leadership
  • Work through the evolving needs of our members and clients by leading multiple complex initiatives in parallel in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with members and key customers, clients, partners, stakeholders and team members.

  • Board certification in one of the following: 
    • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with MSK/Sports/Spine Fellowship 
    • Family Medicine with MSK/Sports/Spine Fellowship 
    • Emergency Medicine with MSK/Sports/Spine Fellowship 
    • Internal Medicine with MSK/Sports/Spine Fellowship 
    • Orthopedic surgery
    • Neurosurgery
  • MD/DO with unrestricted Arizona state license and at least 3 years clinical practice after training 
  • Willingness to obtain multiple state licenses. Will be expected to disclose any impediments to multi-state licensure at the beginning of the interview process so that necessary accommodations can be made by SpineZone license procurement facilitators 
  • English. Spanish preferred but not required 
  • Demonstrated competence and passion for digital care delivery or telehealth: Comfort evaluating and treating patients remotely utilizing a variety of digital tools to manage care 
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills across various channels and groups and managing team conflict 
  • Proven record of matching patient needs to treatment plans and proven record of implementing these plans safely and effectively 
  • Ability to describe medical conditions in an understandable fashion 
  • Experience administering a wide range of techniques delivered digitally 
  • Strong sense of empathy, a compassionate outlook and the ability to motivate patients into pushing their limits in a responsible, safe way 
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software 
  • High speed internet + ability to work from home

Compensation Range, DOE (Salary, Non-Exempt):

Starting at  $240,000, up to 10 hours per week
